Representative Daryl Deshotel

Daryl Andrew Deshotel is an American politician and businessman representing Louisiana House District 28. He was born in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana, and is a member of the Republican Party. Deshotel is a Catholic with three children. Before his political career, he served as president of Detel Computer Solutions until 2018.

Education

Deshotel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Louisiana State University.

Political Experience

Deshotel was first elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives in November 2019 and assumed office on January 13, 2020, succeeding Robert Johnson. He represents Avoyelles and St. Landry parishes and is eligible to serve through the 2028 term. In October 2023, he was re-elected to the Louisiana House with 81% of the vote.

He maintains a 100% pro-life voting record according to Louisiana Right to Life. In 2022, he invested one million dollars into his campaign account.
