Biography
Darin Harbick is a Republican representing District 12 in the Oregon House of Representatives, covering eastern Lane County and parts of southern Linn County, including areas like the McKenzie River corridor, Coburg, Cottage Grove, Junction City, and a sliver of southeast Eugene. A native Oregonian raised along the McKenzie River, he is an entrepreneur and small business owner in McKenzie Bridge, having owned ventures such as Harbick's Country Store , Takoda's Restaurant , Harbick's Inc. , Harbick's Country Inn, and faith-based residential treatment homes like Ark77 Recovery Centers for mental illness. Married to his high school sweetheart Kail at age 19 or 20, they raised three children and have five grandchildren; his eldest son Tyler serves as his legislative assistant in the 2025 session. Harbick won the 2024 election with 57.7% of the vote after defeating incumbent Charlie Conrad in the Republican primary , amid backlash over Conrad's support for HB 2002 on abortion and gender-affirming care; he was endorsed by Oregon Right to Life. He advocates for public safety, pro-small business policies, and access to physical and behavioral healthcare.
Education and Political Experience
