Darcy Jech is a Republican state senator representing District 26 in the Oklahoma Senate, serving since 2014. Born and raised east of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, he comes from a family that has farmed in the state since statehood. He owns and operates an independent insurance agency in Kingfisher and previously served on the Kingfisher City Council, Chamber of Commerce Board, Hospital Board, Educational Foundation Board, Industrial Foundation Board, and Central Oklahoma Red Cross Board. Jech serves on key committees including Appropriations, Natural Resources and Regulatory Services, Judiciary, Public Safety, Rules, and Aeronautics and Transportation.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Attended Seminole State College; earned a BS degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Graduated from Kingfisher High School after attending Big 4 School for grades 1-8.
• Political Experience: Elected to the Oklahoma Senate in 2014, representing District 26 as a Republican; ongoing service through present.
