Biography
Darby A. Hills is a Republican State Senator representing Illinois' 26th Senate District, sworn into office on February 28, 2025. A passionate advocate for children and families, she founded Barrington Children’s Charities, which provides meals, medical assistance, and social services to over 500 children weekly. Previously a Cook County prosecutor and attorney, and a trustee on the Barrington Hills Village Board, she has focused on cutting taxes, promoting accountable government, and supporting parents. Shortly after taking office, she was named Minority Spokesperson for the Child Welfare Committee and serves on the Commerce, Consumer Protection, Judiciary, and Transportation committees. She is a wife and mother of three, with roots in a working-class family.
