Biography

Dar'shun Kendrick is a Democratic member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing House District 95, which includes portions of DeKalb, Gwinnett, and Rockdale counties.

Dar'shun Kendrick was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, attending Towers High School in Decatur. Elected in 2010 at age 27, she was sworn in as one of the youngest members of the Georgia General Assembly in 2011. She serves as ranking Democrat on the Judiciary Non-Civil committee and on committees including Juvenile Justice, Small Business Development & Jobs Creation, Economic Development, and Technology & Infrastructure. Notable leadership roles include Chief Deputy Whip for the House Democratic Caucus , House Whip of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus , and co-chair of the Telecommunications, Science & Technology Committee for the National Black Caucus of State Legislators . She founded the Georgia Future Caucus and the first Technology, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Bipartisan Caucus . In 2024, she was appointed to the Georgia Technology Authority overview committee.
