Representative Danny Nix, Jr.

Danny Nix, Jr. is a Republican representing Florida House District 75, which encompasses parts of Charlotte and Sarasota counties. He was born on August 4, 1977, in Athens, Georgia, and relocated to Florida in 2011. He currently resides in Placida, Florida, with his spouse, Carla Nix.

Nix works as a commercial realtor and holds the professional designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member . His recreational interests include college football, fishing, golf, hunting, riding motorcycles, and spending time with family and friends.

Education

Nix earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration and Management from Keiser University and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Western Governors University .

Political Experience

Nix was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2024 and is serving his first term, which will conclude in 2032. His religious affiliation is nondenominational.

He serves on several committees, including the Education & Employment Committee, Education Administration Subcommittee, Joint Select Committee on Collective Bargaining, Select Committee on Property Taxes, Civil Justice & Claims Subcommittee, Government Operations Subcommittee, and PreK-12 Budget Subcommittee.
