Biography
Danny Burgess is a Republican representing Florida State Senate District 23, which includes parts of Hillsborough and Pasco counties. Born June 1, 1986, in Zephyrhills, Florida, he is a lifelong resident of the Tampa Bay area, a practicing attorney, Major in the U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate General's Corps, husband to Courtney Burgess, and father of three children: Adeline, Danny III, and Eleanor. Notable achievements include serving as the youngest elected official in Florida history at age 18 on the Zephyrhills City Council, Mayor of Zephyrhills , passing 17 bills signed into law in 2022 , and awards such as Pasco County Sheriff's Office Community Service Award , Veterans of Foreign Wars Legislator of the Year , and Florida League of Cities Freshman Legislator of the Year .
