Daniel Antonio "Danny" Alvarez is a Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives representing District 69, which covers east Hillsborough County. He assumed office on November 8, 2022, and was subsequently reelected. His current term extends through 2030. Alvarez resides in Hillsborough County and is a member of both the Riverview and Plant City chambers of commerce.

Alvarez holds multiple degrees from respected institutions:

Political Experience

Alvarez won his 2022 election with strong community backing. In the Republican primary, he defeated Megan Petty, and in the general election, he won 57 percent of the vote against incumbent Andrew Learned of District 59, succeeding Linda Chaney who was redistricted to District 61.

Beyond his legislative role, Alvarez serves as an adjunct business law professor at the University of Tampa. His legal practice specializes in family law, with a focus on helping children and families navigate difficult transitions, while also providing business consulting services in corporate communications, marketing, and messaging management.

Alvarez is a U.S. Army veteran, commissioned as an infantry officer in 1997. He completed the Infantry Officers Basic Course, Bradley Fighting Vehicle Leaders Course, Basic Airborne Course, and Jump Master Course.

He is married to Heather and has seven children: Tony, Emery, Lincoln, Elle, Logan, Hayven, and Emmersyn. He identifies as Christian and enjoys exercise, family time, hunting, and reading.
