Daniel Gibson is a Republican member of the South Carolina House of Representatives representing District 12 . Born in Anderson, South Carolina, he works as a commercial pilot with ratings in instrument, twin-engine, certificated flight instructor , and remote pilot. He assumed office on December 6, 2022, after defeating Democratic incumbent Anne Parks in the 2022 general election with 52.9% of the vote.

Notable positions include membership on the Agriculture, Natural Resources & Environmental Affairs Committee and the Interstate Cooperation Committee; he also serves as Vice Chair of the Greenwood County Delegation and McCormick County Delegation.
