Daniel Emrich
Daniel Emrich is a Republican politician from Great Falls, Montana, serving in the Montana State Senate. He represents Senate District 11, which encompasses the Northwest Great Falls area. Emrich is married to Ashley and resides in Great Falls.
Political Experience
Emrich was elected to the Montana Senate in 2022, defeating incumbent Democratic Senator Tom Jacobson by a narrow margin of approximately 403 votes. He assumed office on January 2, 2023, and ran unopposed in the Republican primary.
During his first legislative session in 2023, Emrich introduced 13 bills covering various policy areas, including private school choice, election law reforms, vaccination exemptions in schools, and constitutional proposals regarding personhood. Most of his bills did not advance beyond their first committee hearings, and none completed the full legislative process.
Emrich's campaign received support from notable Montana Republicans, including Governor Greg Gianforte, Senator Jason Ellsworth, and Representative Llew Jones, as well as various business and lobbying interests.
