Daniel Sayre

Daniel Sayre is a Democratic state representative from Kennebunk, Maine, representing House District 135 in York County. He is a consultant by profession and is affiliated with the Kennebunk Rotary Club. Sayre was first elected to the Maine House of Representatives on November 8, 2022, and assumed office on December 7, 2022. He defeated Republican opponent Jared Hirshfield in that election.

Education

Sayre earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Yale University in 1985.

Political Experience

Sayre is currently serving his second term in the Maine House of Representatives. He holds the position of House Chair of the Taxation Committee, a notable leadership role within the legislature. His legislative service includes representation during the 131st and 132nd sessions of the Maine House.
