Biography
Dan Miller , a Democrat, represented Pennsylvania's 42nd House District in Allegheny County from 2013 until resigning in December 2025 to become a judge on the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. Born February 9, 1973, in Danbury, Connecticut, he is an Army National Guard veteran, former public defender, and community volunteer. Notable achievements include serving as Majority Whip , Majority Caucus Chairman , Minority Caucus Chairman , Chair of the Blue-Green Caucus, and member of the Climate Caucus; he earned a 92% on the Pennsylvania Environmental Scorecard for priorities like public transportation and renewable energy. He also advocated for the disability community and labor movements.
