Dan Huberty is an American businessman and former Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives, representing District 127 in Harris County from 2011 to 2023. He served five terms, including winning unopposed in 2014 and securing 80.2% in his final reelection. Notable achievements include chairing the House Committee on Public Education , authoring House Bill 3 on education—a major school finance reform with $6.5 billion for public education and teacher pay, plus $5.1 billion for tax relief—and serving on the House Committee on County Affairs. Previously on the Humble ISD school board . Announced retirement in 2021 for new opportunities; now President of MVP REIT.
