Dan Goughnour is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 35th district in Allegheny County, which includes the cities of Clairton, Duquesne, and McKeesport, as well as South Versailles Township and several boroughs such as Homestead, Liberty, Lincoln, Munhall, Port Vue, Versailles, West Homestead, West Mifflin , Whitaker, and White Oak. A former McKeesport Police Department officer and Captain of Police Detectives with over 16 years of service, he won a special election on March 25, 2025, following the death of incumbent Representative Matthew Gergely, and was sworn in on April 7, 2025. His victory secured a Democratic majority in the Pennsylvania House.
