Biography
Dan Feyen is a Republican Wisconsin State Senator representing District 20, which includes portions of Dodge, Fond du Lac, Ozaukee, Sheboygan, and Washington Counties. Born and raised in New Holstein, Wisconsin, he is married with two children, both graduates of UW-Madison, and resides in Fond du Lac. A former print and bindery coordinator, he is involved in community organizations including the Knights of Columbus, Elks Club, Fond du Lac Noon Rotary Club, and serves as Major in the Wisconsin Wing, Civil Air Patrol Legislative Squadron. Notable achievements include his rapid rise to Assistant Majority Leader since 2019, chairing key committees like Economic Development and Technical Colleges and Government Operations, Labor, and Economic Development, and appointments to the Southeast Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park District Board and Co-Chair of the Bi-Partisan Legislative Tech Caucus.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduated from New Holstein High School in 1986; earned a diploma in Printing from Fox Valley Technical College in 1988.
- Political Experience: Elected to the Wisconsin State Senate in 2016 for District 18 ; re-elected and switched to District 20 after winning the 2024 primary and general election , sworn in for third term January 2025. Previously chaired Fond du Lac County Republican Party and Sixth District Republican Party ; served on Republican National Platform Committee . Current roles include Committee on Senate Organization, Joint Legislative Council, Vice-Chair of Utilities and Tourism, and Co-Chair of Joint Committee on Retirement Systems. Former local roles: Jaycees Fond du Lac president and Fond du Lac Advisory Parks Board member.
