Political Experience
Didech was elected as Vernon Township Supervisor in 2017, serving until 2019. During his first year as Supervisor, he cut the township's property tax levy by over 5% while expanding services by identifying alternative revenue sources and eliminating wasteful administrative expenses. He championed the consolidation of the Vernon Township Road District and transformed the township's food pantry into a "grocery store experience" that serves seniors, immigrants, and single mothers with dignity.
In 2018, Didech was elected to the Illinois House to succeed retiring Representative Carol Sente, defeating Republican opponent Karen Feldman. As a third-term Representative, he currently serves as Chairman of the Illinois House Gaming Committee and sits on the Ethics & Elections, Financial Institutions & Licensing, Judiciary–Civil, and Personnel & Pensions Committees. He also serves as Sub-Chairperson for the Commercial & Property Subcommittee.
