Biography
Dan Deasy is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 27 in Allegheny County, which includes parts of Pittsburgh. Born on August 1, 1966, in Pittsburgh, he has served continuously since January 6, 2009, succeeding Thomas C. Petrone, and was reelected through 2025. He is married to Kelly Skeba Deasy, with four children, and resides in Westwood, Pittsburgh. Notable achievements include chairing the House Liquor Control Committee , serving as chairman of the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority, and advocating for reopening Pittsburgh’s Zone 6 Police Station, which remains operational. His priorities encompass expanding healthcare access, education funding, penalties for crimes against children, economic development, senior and veteran services, and addressing blight.
