Cynthia J. Ball is a Democratic member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 49 in Wake County. First elected in 2016, she has been re-elected in 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2024, securing her fifth term. She currently serves as House Deputy Democratic Leader in the 2025-2026 session and previously held roles including Freshman Democratic Chair, Democratic Whip, Co-Chair of the House Democratic Caucus Campaign, and Democratic Conference Chair.
