Curtis P. King is a Republican member of the Colorado State House, representing District 49. King earned his BA in Music from Mesa State College in 1978. Prior to his election, King was a police officer for the City of Grand Junction for over 30 years, retiring as a sergeant in 2009. He has also owned various small businesses over the years. King serves on committees such as Appropriations, Finance, Public Health Care & Human Services, and Transportation & Local Government.
