Biography
Senator Crystal Brantley ** represents **New Mexico Senate District 35, the largest senate district in the state, encompassing Catron, Doña Ana, Grant, Hidalgo, Luna, Sierra, and Socorro counties, including much of New Mexico's borderlands with Mexico. Elected in 2020 and serving since 2021, she is the first female and first Republican to hold the seat. A business owner, she set a legislative campaign fundraising record in 2020 with strong grassroots support and was named Legislator of the Year in 2023 by New Mexico Home & Hospice Providers for championing small businesses and contract providers. Nationally, she is the first New Mexico senator selected to serve on the Republican State Leadership Committee.
