Biography
Craig T. Staats is a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 145th District in Bucks County, which includes townships of Bridgeton, Durham, East Rockhill, Haycock, Milford, Nockamixon, Richland, Springfield, and West Rockhill, and boroughs of Quakertown, Richlandtown, Riegelsville, Telford , and Trumbauersville.
First elected in 2014 after defeating Karen Chellew, succeeding retiring Representative Paul Clymer, he has been re-elected through 2024. Notable achievements include serving as Richland Township Supervisor and Chair , judge of elections, Deputy Whip , Marketing Chair of the Liquor Control Committee, and Republican Chair of the Intergovernmental Affairs and Operations Committee . He endorsed Donald Trump in 2016, criticized Governor Tom Wolf during the COVID-19 pandemic, and prioritizes job growth, business-friendly policies, property tax relief, local education control, road/bridge improvements, and open space preservation.
