Courtney Watson is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 9B since January 9, 2019. Born on September 8, 1962, in Baltimore, Maryland, she is married to Richard and has three children. Previously, she served on the Howard County Council and the Howard County Board of Education . Notable achievements include securing $11 million in state funding for Ellicott City flood mitigation, serving as Chair of the Transportation and Environment Subcommittee of the Appropriations Committee , and receiving awards such as Environmental Leader from the Maryland League of Conservation Voters and multiple Maryland Top 100 Women honors from The Daily Record.
