Biography
Representative Corley Ellis
Corley Ellis is a Republican member of the Alabama House of Representatives representing District 41 in Shelby County since winning a special election in 2016. Notable achievements include prior service as Shelby County Commissioner for District 1 for 10 years , ownership of Ellis Properties Inc., and endorsements from the Alabama Farmers Federation for his support of farmers' needs.
Corley Ellis is a lifelong resident of Shelby County, Alabama, and a 1989 graduate of Shelby County High School. He owns Ellis Properties Inc., a real estate brokerage firm in Columbiana, and has been actively involved in community service on boards such as SafeHouse of Shelby County, Court Appointed Special Advocates, South Shelby Chamber of Commerce, American Cancer Society, and multiple Association of County Commissions of Alabama committees. He served as Chairman for the South Shelby Relay for Life and works with the American Cancer Society and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society on fundraising. Ellis is married to Julie Harris Ellis, and they have a son, Jamison. He resides in Columbiana and serves on the Local Legislation, Financial Services, and Shelby County Legislation Committees.
