Biography
Connie Lane is a Democratic representative for Merrimack 16 in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, serving since 2018. She represents areas including Ward 2 in Concord and Penacook, and won her 2024 general election with 59% of the vote. A retired attorney and former shareholder at Orr & Reno law firm in Concord, she is a former small business owner, married with two children, and resides in Concord, NH. Notable achievements include co-founding the Legal Advice & Referral Center, recognized nationally for expanding legal services to low-income individuals; advocating for domestic violence victims; and promoting affordable housing through work with the NH Community Loan Fund and as co-founder/board member of CATCH Neighborhood Housing. She serves on the Election Law Committee, co-sponsoring bills to simplify voting, eliminate gerrymandering via a redistricting commission, remove dark money from politics, require live-streaming of municipal meetings, and address housing shortages.
