Biography
Colton Chase Moore is an American Republican politician who represented Georgia's 53rd Senate District from January 9, 2023, to January 13, 2026. The district covers Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Walker, and portions of Floyd counties in Northwest Georgia. Previously, he served as a state representative for Georgia's 1st House District from 2018 to 2022, becoming the youngest state representative from Dade County at age 24. Notable achievements include serving as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Interstate Cooperation, Secretary of the Senate Committee on Transportation, and membership on committees for Higher Education and Natural Resources and the Environment; he was also ex-officio on the Senate Committee on Government Oversight. Moore is recognized as President Trump's floor leader in the Georgia Senate, advocating for tax cuts, Second Amendment rights, fair elections, and exposing state funds related to immigration issues. He works in his family's bulldozing and trucking business as a dump truck driver and is an accomplished auctioneer, named Georgia Auctioneering Champion in 2016 and a top 20 finalist in the 2017 International Auctioneering Championship. As of 2026, he is running for U.S. Congress in Georgia's 14th District.
