Biography
Collin Duel is a Republican representative for Oklahoma House District 31, which includes areas in Logan County such as Guthrie and Seward. Elected in 2022, he serves as Chair of the Civil Judiciary Committee, Chair of the Special Conference Committee on HB 2104, Chair of the Conference Committee on Judiciary and Public Safety Oversight, and Vice Chair of related committees. A former U.S. Army Ranger, Duel served in the 3rd Ranger Battalion with four combat deployments to Afghanistan, earning two Army Commendation Medals for heroism and meritorious service before his honorable discharge in 2013 as a sergeant from a Special Operations unit. He is a practicing attorney since 2017, a conservative advocate for lower taxes, parental rights, child protection, border security, and faith-based values, and lives in Guthrie with his wife Hannah and their children . His family attends Life.Church in Edmond.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Earned both his undergraduate degree and law degree from the University of Oklahoma.
- Political Experience: Elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 2022 for the 59th Legislature and ongoing; previously involved as a former county GOP leader.
