Biography
Clinton Calabrese is a Democratic member of the New Jersey General Assembly representing District 36, which includes parts of Bergen and Passaic counties such as Bergenfield, Fair Lawn, Paramus, Maywood, Hawthorne, and Rochelle Park. Born on March 4, 1986, in Cliffside Park, New Jersey, he was appointed to the Assembly in February 2018 at age 31, becoming the youngest member of the New Jersey Legislature at the time and continuing the legacy of his politically prominent family—his grandfather Gerald Calabrese served 50 years as mayor of Cliffside Park, his father Gerald Calabrese Jr. chairs the Cliffside Park Democratic Party, and his uncle Thomas Calabrese is the town's mayor. Notable positions include Deputy Majority Whip and service on committees such as Vice Chair of the Oversight, Reform and Federal Relations Committee, Vice Chair of the Telecommunications and Utilities Committee, and Member of the Intergovernmental Relations Commission.
