Biography
Clint Dixon is a Republican state senator representing District 45 in the Georgia State Senate, which includes portions of Gwinnett and Barrow Counties. Elected in 2020 and sworn in on January 11, 2021, he serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Education and Youth, Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Transportation and the Senate Committee on MARTOC, and Secretary of the Senate Appropriations Committee. He also holds leadership roles such as Governor's Floor Leader and Republican Caucus Vice Chair . Notable positions include sponsoring SB 141 to ban gender-affirming care for youth under 18 and co-sponsoring S.B. 390 to withhold funding from libraries affiliated with the American Library Association. In 2023, he sought to remove Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis using a new Georgia law.
A self-made businessman in real estate, Dixon founded Longleaf Realty in 2010 specializing in bank-owned properties, worked as Real Estate, Construction, and Site Selection Manager for Hewatt Enterprises, and currently serves as Acquisition Manager for Chafin Homes. Prior to the Senate, he served on the Gwinnett County Planning Commission, making zoning decisions, and the Water and Sewer Authority, promoting the Ivy Creek Overlay. Married to Hayden for 19 years , they have three children: Hudson , Berkley , and Emsley .
