Biography
Clinton Michael Anderson is a Democratic member of the Wisconsin State Assembly representing the 45th Assembly District, which includes Beloit, Wisconsin. A lifelong Beloit resident, he was first elected to the Assembly in 2022, defeating Republican Jeff Klett with 55% of the vote, and won re-election unopposed in 2024. Prior to state service, he served on the Beloit City Council from 2017, including as council president from 2021 to 2022. Notable achievements include his work as a volunteer coordinator at YWCA Rock County supporting domestic violence survivors and as a youth support specialist. His family is active in local service, with his father as a city building inspector, mother as a school secretary, and brother on the Beloit school board.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 2011; earned an Associate's Degree from UW-Rock County in 2016; obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from UW-Whitewater in 2018.
- Political Experience: Ran unsuccessfully for Wisconsin State Assembly District 31 in 2016; elected to Beloit City Council in 2017, re-elected in 2019 and 2021; elected to Wisconsin State Assembly District 45 in 2022, serving since January 3, 2023.
