Biography
Cinthia Zermeño Moore is a Democratic member of the Nevada Assembly representing District 11 . Born in 1982 in El Salto, Jalisco, Mexico, she moved to the district over 30 years ago with her family, who pursued the American Dream—her father opened a carpentry shop, and her mother worked as a housekeeper. She advocates for environmental justice, better schools, healthcare, jobs, reproductive rights, affordable housing, and immigrant families as a champion for working families in overlooked communities. Elected in November 2024, she began serving in 2025 and has one son, Liam. Her recreation includes running, weights, and reading.
Notable achievements and positions include: Emerge Nevada Class of 2011; State Advisory Board Member, Climate Power; member of Junior League of Las Vegas, Las Vegas REALTORS, Make the Road Nevada, NAHREP Las Vegas, Nevada Equity Cabinet, and Vegas Chamber. Current committees: Growth and Infrastructure, Judiciary, Legislative Operations and Elections, and Public Safety and Security.
Education and Political Experience
Previously coordinated the Nevada Environmental Justice Coalition since 2019, advocating for clean air, clean energy, and pollution elimination in East Las Vegas. First elected to the Nevada Assembly in November 2024; served one regular session in 2025.
