Biography
Cindy Rosenwald is a Democratic state senator representing District 13 in the New Hampshire Senate, which includes wards 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9 in Nashua. She has served as senator since 2018 and as Deputy Democratic Leader since 2020. Previously, she was a state representative for Hillsborough District 30 from 2004 to 2018, Nashua City Selectman from 2003 to 2005, and held leadership roles such as Deputy Minority Leader in the House . Notable achievements include chairing the Opioid Abatement Advisory Commission since 2020, advocating for Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act , ending the state disability services waitlist , and receiving awards like State Representative of the Year from the New Hampshire Medical Society for her work on health care, affordable housing, child care, and support for working families. She announced her retirement from the Senate, capping a 22-year career in state politics.
