Cynthia Roe is a Republican representative for Oklahoma House District 42, which includes parts of Cleveland, Garvin, and McClain counties such as Blanchard, Dibble, Erin Springs, Lexington, Lindsay, Maysville, Paoli, Pauls Valley, Purcell, Rosedale, Stratford, Wayne, and Wynnewood. Born on July 31, 1959, in rural Osage County, she has served since her election in November 2018, succeeding Timothy J. Downing. A nurse practitioner with over four decades in health care, she lives in Lindsay with her husband Vern, who works in oil and gas and raises cattle; she is a mother of five and grandmother of seven , with one child who served as a combat Marine in Afghanistan. Previously a co-owner of Valley Family Clinic in Pauls Valley, she holds conservative values, supports the Right to Life, Second Amendment rights, local schools, and reducing government waste in health care and welfare.

Notable achievements include chairing the House Public Health Committee, serving on the A&B Health Subcommittee, Health and Human Services Oversight Committee, Agriculture Committee, Select Committee to Review Mental Health Finances , SAFE Board, and Garvin County Multi-Disciplinary Team ; she is also a Milbank Fellow.

Political Experience: Elected to Oklahoma House of Representatives for District 42 in 2018; re-elected through at least 2030; focuses on rural health care, patient-centered options, and practical policy informed by her career in interventional cardiology, emergency medicine, critical care, hospital medicine, and family practice; currently works part-time in a rural health clinic in Lindsay.
