Biography
Cindy Neighbor is a Democrat representing Kansas House District 18, based in Shawnee. She has served multiple terms in the Kansas House of Representatives, initially as a Republican from 2003 to 2004, then as a Democrat from 2007 to 2011, and reclaiming the seat in 2016 after defeating Republican Erik Jenkins. A seven-term representative, she currently holds leadership roles including Ranking Minority Member on the Insurance Committee, and serves on committees such as Child Welfare and Foster Care, Energy, Elections, Utilities and Telecommunications, and the Joint Committee on Pensions, Investments and Benefits.
