Cindi Duchow is a Republican politician representing Wisconsin's 97th Assembly District since 2025, after serving the 99th Assembly District from 2015 to 2025. Born August 21, 1959, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, she is a lifelong resident of Delafield, where she lives with her husband Craig and two sons. A former retail manager and buyer, she worked in the fashion industry, consulted on merchandise inventory, and managed her family's boating business on Lake Michigan. She is active in her community, including as a member of St. Anthony’s Church, past board member of the Waukesha Youth Hockey Association and Kettle Moraine Curling Club, Leadership Circle Member of the Republican Party of Waukesha County, past president of the Volunteer Service Club of Pewaukee Lake, and member of the Pewaukee Yacht Club.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Attended Catholic Memorial High School; earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
• Political Experience: Served on the Delafield Town Board of Supervisors from 2012 to 2016, achieving the lowest tax rate in Waukesha County during her tenure. Elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in a special election in September 2015; currently in her fourth term. Elected Majority Caucus Vice Chair by peers in November 2020 . Chairs the Financial Institutions Committee; serves on Criminal Justice & Public Safety, Education, Insurance, Joint Legislative Council, and Governor's Council on Financial Literacy.
• Notable Achievements and Positions: Vocal advocate for tax cuts, including returning state surpluses to taxpayers and reducing income/property taxes for retirees. Led efforts on bail reform, mandatory minimums for gun crimes, and cops in schools. Authored bill to clarify indefinitely confined voter status and clean up rolls. Voted in January 2024 with Republicans to ban abortions after 14 weeks.
