Chuck Efstration is a Republican representing Georgia House District 104, which includes the Auburn, Carl, and Hamilton Mill areas in Northeast Gwinnett and Southwest Barrow Counties. A lifelong Gwinnett County resident, he owns a small family law firm in Dacula and has been married to Ashley Leachman Efstration since 2014. Elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in a special runoff election on December 3, 2013 , he won re-election as an incumbent in 2020 . In November 2022, his Republican colleagues elected him House Majority Leader. Previously, he ran unsuccessfully for U.S. House in Georgia's 7th Congressional District in 2010. As a former assistant district attorney, he prosecuted serious crimes including murder, rape, armed robbery, and child molestation. Notable achievements include leading efforts for taxpayer rebates, teacher pay raises, school safety funding, defending sex trafficking victims, and cracking down on violent crime. He previously chaired the House Judiciary Committee and served as an administration floor leader for Governor Nathan Deal, and sits on committees like House Ethics, Insurance, and Appropriations.

• Education: Graduated from the University of Georgia’s School of Public and International Affairs, where he worked as a legislative aide to the governor’s floor leader and the Senate Public Safety Committee. Earned a Juris Doctor from Mercer Law School in Macon.
• Political Experience: Former chairman of the Gwinnett County Republican Party and the Georgia Association of College Republicans. As a prosecutor, handled felony cases, Juvenile Court, and Gwinnett County Drug Court. Elected to Georgia House in 2013; Majority Leader since 2022.
