Biography
Christopher Eric Bouchat is a Republican delegate representing District 5 in the Maryland House of Delegates. Elected in November 2022 and serving since January 11, 2023, he is a member of the Judiciary Committee, including its Criminal Law & Procedure and Family & Juvenile Law subcommittees. Born October 2, 1967, in Baltimore, Maryland, Bouchat is a welder by trade, founder and chair of Bouchat Industries, Inc. since 1994, and a former Carroll County Commissioner . Notable achievements include chairing the Maryland Chapter of the American Welding Society and serving on the Baltimore County Republican Central Committee ; he advocates for tough-on-crime policies, the Citizen Redistricting Convention Amendment to end gerrymandering, school choice, and tax reform via his "Triple Three Tax Policy." He has two children and three grandchildren.
