Biography
Christine Morse is a Democratic politician and judge from Michigan, born on April 30, 1973, in Tecumseh. She served as a Michigan State Representative for the 61st District and then the 40th District before being elected in 2024 as judge of Kalamazoo County's newly created 9th Circuit Court, defeating opponent Mariko Willis with 62% of the vote. Prior to her legislative roles, she was a Kalamazoo County Commissioner for the 9th District since 2018. Notable achievements include being the first Democrat to win the 61st District since 1993, receiving an endorsement from former President Barack Obama, and recognition as the 2023 Legislator of the Year by the Michigan Guardianship Association. She is a cancer survivor, Navy veteran's spouse, and mother of three children with husband Kevin Morse. Her priorities have focused on public education, healthcare access, water protection, and community infrastructure.

- Attorney , licensed in Michigan and California, with experience in prosecution, insurance defense, workers’ compensation, and internships in St. Clair, Berrien Counties, and for Judge Gerald R. Rosen.
- Community roles: Kalamazoo County Commissioner , community liaison for Kalamazoo Land Bank and others, Texas Township Flooding Task Force, Pink Owl Project co-leader for breast cancer awareness.
- Michigan House of Representatives: 61st District ; 40th District ; declined reelection in 2024 to run for 9th Circuit Court judge .
