Christie Carpino is a Republican state representative for Connecticut's 32nd District, encompassing Cromwell and Portland. She assumed office in 2011 after winning election in 2010 and was re-elected to an 8th term in November 2024. Currently, she serves as House Republican Caucus Chair, a role she has held since 2019, and House Chair of the Regulation Review Committee. She also sits on the Government Administration and Elections Committee, Public Health Committee, and Joint Committee on Legislative Management.

Notable achievements include appointments to the Governor’s Council on Women and Girls in 2023, the national Executive Committee of Women In Government, and Vice President of the National Conference of Legislators from Gaming States. She has received awards such as the CT Marine Trades Association’s “Honorary Crew Member Award,” CT Respiratory Society’s 2020 “Legislative Champion,” and recognition from the CT State Medical Society. Carpino advocates for employment opportunities for people with disabilities, veterans’ services, first responders, child protection, affordability, women’s rights, and the recreational boating industry. She works as General Counsel at SSI and as a pro bono attorney for Connecticut Legal Services.
