Biography
Chris H. Wilson is a Republican representing District 2 in the Utah State Senate, covering Cache and Rich Counties. A lifelong resident of Cache Valley, he is a third-generation owner of Wilson Motor Company in Logan and was first elected to the Senate in 2020. He serves as Majority Whip and chairs the Infrastructure and General Government Appropriations Committee, with additional roles on Senate Health and Human Services, Senate Revenue and Taxation, Higher Education Appropriations, and as Senate Chair of the Utah Broadband Commission.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a finance emphasis from Utah State University.
- Political Experience: Elected to represent Senate District 2 in 2020; advanced to Republican Majority Whip. Previously active in Cache County GOP as a state and county delegate and central committee member. Notable community involvement includes the Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce and New Car Dealers of Utah Association.
