Biography
Chris Tully is a Democratic member of the New Jersey General Assembly representing District 38 . Born on March 31, 1982, in Bergenfield, New Jersey, he is the oldest of two children born to Irish immigrant parents—his mother from County Roscommon and his father from County Meath. He has served in the Assembly since 2018, currently holding positions as Deputy Majority Leader , Chair of the Assembly Science, Innovation and Technology Committee, and member of the Assembly Health and Labor Committees. Notable achievements include helping reduce Bergenfield's municipal debt in half as Finance Chairman on the borough council, contributing to its recognition as one of New Jersey's safest communities and best places to raise a family, and prior service as an aide to Senator Frank Lautenberg, Governor Richard Codey, and Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle.
