Biography
Chris Taylor is a Republican who represented the Chittenden-Franklin district in the Vermont House of Representatives from January 2023 until his resignation on March 27, 2026, to focus on his role as Milton town manager. Born in Rutland, Vermont, he resides in Milton with his wife Jenn and two children, having moved there 17 years ago. A native Vermonter, Taylor has over 20 years in business management and seven years in education, including six as a behavior interventionist at Milton Elementary School and currently as Behavior Services Coordinator. He served as Vice Chair of the House Education Committee and House Ethics Panel, and was an ally in Governor Phil Scott’s education reform efforts. Elected to the Milton Selectboard in 2017 , he emphasized common-sense legislation, transparency, and community involvement.

- Education: Attended Mount Saint Joseph Academy for high school; earned a BS in public relations/media communications from Champlain College.
