Biography

Chris Rabb is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 200th District in Philadelphia since 2017. Born on February 21, 1970, he is a father of two, professor, author, and social justice activist from East Mount Airy, known for defeating Democratic incumbents in primaries and earning the most votes of any state representative in Pennsylvania history in the 2020 general election.

Notable achievements include authoring five bills and two amendments enacted into law, introducing the nation's first legislation against greenwashing in 2024, repealing the death penalty , enabling restorative justice sentencing, allowing independent voters in primaries , and protecting cannabis consumers. He co-founded the Pennsylvania Climate Caucus in 2017, chairs the House Democratic Equity Committee, and serves on committees including Agriculture & Rural Affairs , Commerce , Finance , and Judiciary. Rabb is running in the 2026 Democratic primary for Pennsylvania's 3rd congressional district.

  • Education: BA from Yale University ; MS in Organizational Dynamics from University of Pennsylvania . Author of Invisible Capital: How Unseen Forces Shape Entrepreneurial Opportunity . Adjunct professor at Temple University's Fox School of Business and Drexel University's LeBow College of Business ; helped unionize 1,500 adjunct professors at Temple.
  • Political Experience: Elected in 2016 by defeating incumbent Tonyelle Cook-Artis in a three-way Democratic primary, then winning general 94%-5%; unopposed since 2018 after close 2018 primary. Former U.S. Senate legislative aide and White House Conference on Small Business staffer under Clinton.
