Biography

Senator Chris Pope is a Democratic member of the Montana State Senate representing District 33 . Born on December 4, 1952, in Biloxi, Mississippi, he is a long-term resident of Bozeman, Montana, where he lives with his wife, Maddy Pope; they have two children. A retired commercial realtor, Pope co-founded The Great Rocky Mountain Toy Company in downtown Bozeman and served on boards including the Downtown Bozeman Association, Eagle Mount, and Montana Conservation Corps. Notable positions include Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Ethics. He advocates for tax reform, Medicaid expansion, clean energy jobs, and higher salaries for teachers and public employees.
