Biography

Christopher Morrow

Christopher Morrow is a Democratic member of the Vermont House of Representatives representing the Windham-Windsor-Bennington district , serving since 2025. He grew up in Manchester Center and has lived in Weston for over 20 years.

Morrow's career reflects a strong commitment to community development and social responsibility. He served as the founding President of Local First Vermont, an organization dedicated to strengthening Vermont by keeping money circulating in local communities. He also ran the family business, Northshire Bookstores, until 2021. Additionally, he serves as President of the Board of the Book Industry Charitable Foundation on the national level.

Beyond his legislative role, Morrow has been actively involved in local governance and nonprofit work, serving on the planning commission and select board in Weston, as well as on the boards of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce and Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility. He has also served on two local school boards—Flood Brook and Long Trail —and is a voting member of the Vermont Community Foundation.

Education and Political Experience

Morrow holds a master's degree in Environmental Policy from the University of Michigan. After college, he joined the Peace Corps, where he served in Thailand before returning to Vermont. He is a graduate of the Snelling Center for Government's Vermont Leadership Institute.

In the Vermont House, Morrow serves on the House Committee on Energy and Digital Infrastructure, leveraging his environmental policy background and business experience to inform his legislative work.
