Biography
Chris Keyser is a Republican representative for Rutland-7 in the Vermont House of Representatives, serving since 2025. Born in Chelsea, Vermont, to former Governor F. Ray Keyser, Jr. and Joan Keyser, he has a younger brother and sister. He attended Chelsea Elementary School, graduated from Proctor Jr./Sr. High School, and earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Tufts University. Keyser worked as assistant golf course superintendent and ski area manager at Quechee Lakes, then owned and served as CEO of a retail/commercial energy business for 40 years until retiring in 2019. He has three children and four grandchildren, with hobbies including skiing, hunting, fishing, golf, woodworking, and yard work.

Keyser has extensive community involvement, including past chair and board member of the Rutland Chamber of Commerce and Rutland Economic Development Corporation; past president of the Killington Music Festival and Rutland City Rotary ; past treasurer of the Vermont Farmers Food Center; current treasurer and board member of CEDRR; and past chair and current finance committee member of Rutland Mental Health Services.
