Chris Head is a Republican state senator representing District 3 in the Virginia Senate, which includes all of Alleghany County, Botetourt County, Craig County, Rockbridge County, Buena Vista City, Covington City, Lexington City, Staunton City, and Waynesboro City, as well as parts of Augusta County and Roanoke County. Born on January 13, 1963, in Commerce, Georgia, he is a husband to Elizabeth "Betsy," father of three adult children, and grandfather. He owns Home Instead, a senior care business in Roanoke and Lynchburg with his wife, focusing on in-home care for seniors. A Baptist and member of Bonsack Baptist Church, he holds memberships on boards including the Roanoke Symphony, Virginia Humanities, Virginia Recreational Facilities Authority, Shenandoah Valley Battlefield Foundation, and Fork Union Military Academy Board of Trustees.

Notable achievements include Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year , multiple Virginia Chamber of Commerce Free Enterprise Awards, Virginia Manufacturers Association Industrial Strength Leadership Award, and Virginia Association of Homecare and Hospice Public Policy Award. He is known as a defender of the unborn, protector of the Second Amendment, and advocate for limited government and traditional Virginia values.
