Christopher Richard Flanagan is a Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the 1st Barnstable district . Elected in 2022, he flipped the seat from Republican Tim Whelan and took office in 2023. In April 2025, he was indicted on federal charges of wire fraud and falsification of records for allegedly misappropriating $36,000 from the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Cape Cod, using funds for personal expenses like mortgage payments, credit card debt, psychic services, and his campaign; he has pleaded not guilty.
