Biography
Senator Chris Elliott ** represents **Alabama State Senate District 32, which covers parts of Baldwin County including Daphne, Fairhope, Spanish Fort, Foley, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Perdido Beach. Born Thomas Christopher Elliott on June 18, 1980, in Mobile and Baldwin counties, he is a businessman, small business owner , and avid upland bird hunter and blue water sailor holding a 25 Ton Coast Guard Master’s License. He resides in Josephine with his wife Alainna and two children, Brooks and Haley Dae, and is a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church of Bon Secour. Active in Republican politics for over two decades, he has served on the Baldwin County Republican Party executive committee , Alabama Republican Party executive committee, and as past Chairman of Baldwin County Young Republicans.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduated from St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Mobile; Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Urban Policy from the University of Richmond ; Master’s degree from Wake Forest University.
- Political Experience: Elected to Alabama State Senate District 32 in 2018 , replacing Sen. Trip Pittman; previously Baldwin County Commissioner and Chairman of the Eastern Shore Metropolitan Planning Organization. Serves as Chair of County and Municipal Government Committee, Vice Chair of State Governmental Affairs, and member of Banking and Insurance, Tourism, Finance and Taxation General Fund, and Judiciary committees; also on Joint Legislative Committee on State Parks, Joint Transportation Committee, and Contract Review Permanent Legislative Oversight Committee. Graduate of Alabama Leadership Initiative and 30th Class of Leadership Alabama.
