Biography
Chris Burdick is a Democratic/Independence/Working Families member of the New York State Assembly representing District 93 in Westchester County. The district includes the towns of Bedford, Harrison, Lewisboro, Mount Kisco, New Castle, North Castle, North Salem, Pound Ridge, and approximately half of White Plains. He is an attorney who joined the Assembly in January 2021 after winning election in 2020 to succeed David Buchwald. Prior to that, he served seven years as full-time Town Supervisor of Bedford , becoming the first Democratic supervisor in 30 years, where he managed 125 employees and a $41 million annual budget. His campaign emphasized protecting abortion rights and environmental policy. Notable positions include chair of the Subcommittee on Employment Opportunities for People with Disabilities and membership on committees for Banks, Correction, Environmental Conservation, Housing, People with Disabilities, and Veterans' Affairs.
