Biography
Chris Banning
Chris Banning is a Republican politician representing Oklahoma House District 24 since November 16, 2022. He resides in Bixby, Oklahoma, with his family. Born in 1975 or 1976, Banning is currently 48–49 years old.
Banning has a distinguished military background. He joined the United States Air Force in 1993 as an Airman Basic and participated in Operation Provide Comfort from December 1993 through January 1997. Following the Oklahoma City bombing, he provided volunteer relief at Tinker Air Force Base and served on the frontlines of rescue and recovery missions. For his humanitarian service to Oklahoma City, the United States Armed Forces awarded him the Humanitarian Service Medal.
Education and Professional Background
Banning holds a Business Management Degree. He is an entrepreneur and CEO of Banning Investment Group, where he has successfully negotiated numerous business acquisitions. He is recognized nationally as a leader in employing veterans and contracting for the military globally.
Political Experience
Banning was elected in 2022 to represent House District 24 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. Within the legislature, he serves as Assistant Majority Whip and chairs the Business Committee. He also holds committee positions in Education, Commerce and Economic Development Oversight, Common Education, and Veterans and Military Affairs.
